Our selection of Tibetan furniture is selected with care in the Himalayas. It includes painted cabinets, storage boxes, low tables, altars, peggums, Tantric torgums and choshoms, from the 17th to the 20th century. Tibetan furniture has always been quite rare. Except for the wealthy, Tibetans used very little furniture in their homes. Most of it was found in monasteries. Due to the massive destruction of monasteries by the Chinese in the last decades and the high demand of Tibetan furniture by the West over the past years, Tibetan furniture is today incredibly difficult to find.
